Best Practices for Rain Plans and Alternate Timelines

When planning a wedding, it’s always a good idea to prepare for different scenarios, whether you need an alternate timeline for rain or a schedule with and without a first look.

Creating a Rain Plan

We recommend adding a separate event within your current project to keep both timelines organized and easily accessible.

How to Create Your Rain Plan

  1. Save your original timeline as a template. Open your primary Event and save your timeline as a template.

  2. Create a new event within your current project. Name the new event Wedding Rain Plan.

  3. Load your saved timeline template. Add the template to your new Wedding Rain Plan event.

  4. Customize your rain plan. Adjust the timeline as needed to accommodate changes to ceremony locations, photos, cocktail hour, and other activities.

You’ll now have both your original wedding timeline and your rain plan available as separate events within the same project.

What About Alternate Budgets?

If you need to create an alternate budget, we recommend saving your existing budget as a template and loading it into a separate PROJECT. This helps prevent duplicate financial details from cluttering your current project’s budget.
